The Sales Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of sales reps within a defined territory to meet budgeted sales goals and driving sales growth by utilizing communication skills, product knowledge and in‑person meetings.

Responsibilities

Promotes team spirit and ensures team sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis are met through training, coaching and management.

Plans, coordinates and executes local educational and sales events to augment the business and achieve budgeted sales goals.

Utilizes the sales system to manage and track leads, and reports daily customer sales activity and non‑customer prospecting activities.

Communicates with Regional Sales Leaders and internal functions to ensure the voice of the customer is heard and reports competitor and customer activities.

Builds strong relationships with key surgeons and covers Reconstructive, Extremities, CAS, Surgical, Sports Medicine and Trauma procedures with clinical proficiency and business acumen.

Strictly adheres to all policies and SOPs regarding HCP interaction, product handling and complaints, expense reporting, sales activities and training.

Supports Zimmer Biomet sales by sharing knowledge, ideas and references and develops relationships with product support personnel.

Collaborates with and provides sales support and case coverage for team and/or territory, including the transportation of Zimmer Biomet instruments and implants for day, evening, add‑on or weekend cases.

Qualifications

Mobile and willing to travel.

Capable of carrying weights up to 50 lbs.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work as part of a team and participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Ability to complete tasks accurately and on time, paying close attention to detail.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of sales experience in medical device, preferably upper extremities, or a minimum of 8 years of proven sales experience in the medical device industry. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Communicates clearly in verbal and written form in English.

Travel Expectations Up to 95% predominantly by car – depending on territory 0% to 20% overnight stays and air travel might be required.

Compensation This role has a salary range of $275,000‑$300,000.
