Job Description Allied Universal® Technology Services is hiring a Service Technician to drive our mission of being the world's most trusted service provider. The technician will perform service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on access control systems and IP-based video equipment, including electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, IP/analog cameras, intercoms, video recorders, and wired/wireless systems.

What To Expect As a Commercial Security Service Technician

Travel to commercial client sites to service, identify, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP-based video security systems, including but not limited to:

Electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, ancillary door devices

IP/analog cameras, head-end video recording devices

Wired/wireless systems and intercom systems

Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently and effectively to ensure company compliance, standards and building codes, as well as company safety policies and procedures

Execute, document and track service-related issues through ServiceNow in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations

Interpret electrical schematics, CAD drawings and related documents for use in low-voltage applications

Provide phone and on-line remote diagnostic support with a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients

Collaborate and perform tasks with other internal teams and clients as required

Qualifications (must Haves)

High school diploma or equivalent

Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicle

Minimum of two (2) years of field experience in the electronic security industry

Possession of state-specific licensing or ability to obtain and hold license once hired

Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly navigate and oversee the use of multiple systems and applications

Excellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills to document and report important information with all levels of the organization

Ensure the completion of tasks and projects, both independently and as part of a team, to meet deadlines and contribute to the overall success of the organization

Available for schedule "on-call" duties to respond to emergency service tickets/requests

Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical and electronics aptitude

Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools

Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and work on various ladder heights

Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have)

Highly skilled in the electronic security industry

Experience and/or manufacture certifications in any of the following: Lenel, S2, Genetec AMAG, Brivo, Milestone, SoftwareHouse/CCURE, Axis, Avigilon, Exacqvision, DMP, Bosch, Edwards (EST), Simplex, Notifier, Firelite
