About the Role We’re looking for a qualified social worker to join our
Kinship Care Team , part of our expanding
Family Placement Service . This part‑time role (22 hours per week) offers the flexibility to balance your professional impact with your personal life.
You’ll be part of a passionate team focused on:
Supporting kinship carers
through supervision, training, and guidance
Assessing kinship foster carers
seeking Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs)
Helping children remain within their
family networks , promoting stability, identity, and long‑term wellbeing.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a service that values

What We’re Looking For
A qualified social worker registered with
Social Work England
ASYE completed (we offer a separate programme for newly qualified social workers)
Experience in fostering, looked after children, or kinship care
Ability to quickly develop and maintain relationships with children and carers
Strong assessment, report writing, and organisational skills
Ability to meet tight timescales and work collaboratively
