Responsibilities First-level vocational position responsible for following set rules and procedures to routinely gather to make eligibility determinations and deliver direct services applicable to one of multiple eligibility areas and programs (e.g., food stamps, cash, medical assistance, workforce services, veteran’s loan eligibility, etc.). At this level, employees apply guidelines to calculate benefits and, if determined eligible, issue one-time or ongoing assistance. Employees may also refer applicants to other agencies or other public programs, or community resources. At this level, employees perform work under general supervision. May be required to perform case management work.

Qualifications Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 0-2 years of experience.

What you’ll need to be Successful: The ability to assist customers with obtaining a full range of services by providing information and applying a variety of laws, rules, policies, procedures, and program requirements. At this level, employees assist with providing advice and answers, and reviewing and validating forms for completeness and accuracy in order to provide services and products.
