About the Position This first‑level professional role is an expert in a broad benefit area—e.g., Public Assistance Programs, Unemployment, and veteran’s loan eligibility. The position evaluates the effectiveness of benefit and eligibility programs by auditing processes and reporting findings to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Audit benefit and eligibility processes and report findings to stakeholders.
Lead work within a benefit area, assign and review the work of others.
Assist in establishing public assistance programs in response to legislative mandates and recommend policy or policy revisions to governing bodies.
Oversee and determine high‑value claims, benefits, and/or eligibility (e.g., estate management) using a wide range of legal, medical, occupational, and other factors.
Advocate in appeals processes and perform case management work as required.
Work collaboratively with the public, meet deadlines, and follow policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of professional experience; or an Associate’s degree with 2–3 years of experience.
Strong organizational, self‑motivation, and time‑management skills.
Ability to work well with others and with the public.
Follow policy/procedures and meet deadlines.
