Plans, assembles, disassembles, reworks and, performs engineering development and qualification tests on various aircraft components and systems. Analyzes and evaluates test results to verify that required parameters have been maintained.

What You Will Do
Follows blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to ensure products meet specifications and tolerance levels.
Performs functional testing using established test procedures and records all results accurately. Will troubleshoot down to the component level.
Monitors test completion, maintains test equipment, and documents acceptance or failure outcomes.
Operates hand tools, machine tools, and electronic/mechanical test equipment safely and effectively.
Loads and unloads electronic units in test beds while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Utilizes SAP and computer-based systems to follow work instructions and meet production schedules.
Participates in continuous improvement (CORE), safety, and waste minimization initiatives.
Collaborates across departments, trains others as needed, and supports audits and compliance activities.
2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm to 11pm
Work Environment
You may occasionally need to provide weekend and holiday support to meet customer needs.
In your role, you will be exposed to:
Products of various weights and sizes
Equipment with moving parts
Chemicals that may emit fumes
To minimize safety risk to you and product, you must wear static-control and personal protective equipment.
Physical Demands
Due to the nature of our work, you will need to be able to perform the following functions, with or without reasonable accommodation
Distinguishing colors and meeting vision requirements
Bending, stooping, reaching, turning as needed to place units in test stands, pick up totes, place units on rack, etc.
Using hands for extended periods of time to perform testing and troubleshooting tasks (e.g. grasping, holding, picking, placing, twisting, fine manipulation)
Must be able to stand for 2 hour increments without an opportunity to sit
Must be able to lift 25 pounds
Transporting product with or without product carts
What You Will Learn
Technical Proficiency:
Gain hands-on experience reading blueprints, using test equipment, and operating mechanical and electronic tools to meet precise engineering specifications.
Quality and Compliance:
Learn to document test data, record acceptance results, and adhere to Collins Aerospace quality systems, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Process Discipline:
Develop skills in following structured work instructions, managing production schedules, and maintaining traceability through SAP and other digital systems.
Team Collaboration and Problem-Solving:
Build communication and troubleshooting abilities by working cross-functionally, participating in audits, and supporting process improvement efforts.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Experience with component-level troubleshooting
Experience with schematics or blueprints
Experience with using multimeters, oscilloscope, and/or spectrum analyzer
Qualifications We Prefer
Associate’s degree in Electronics and/or certification in Electronics
Experience in the aerospace industry
Experience with thermal tables, vibrational tables, and test rigs.
Experience with electronics in the testing field
3-4 years of relevant experience in a component-level troubleshooting environment
