What You Will Do
Assign and direct Site Protective Services personnel in emergency operations, including security, law enforcement, crash and disaster control activities, and civil or internal disorders
Act as Incident Command until properly relieved or incident stabilizes
Determine posting requirements and formulate daily duty rosters
Analyze, approve and forward reports to outside entities using the standard reporting tool
Proactively participate in community policing activities such as building council and safety council meetings
Gather facts and use effective, analytical, and established methods to accurately assess a situation and determine the appropriate course of action
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, as well as team members
Wear duty uniform and maintain professional appearance
Monitor the overall security status of company facilities, including the performance of contracted security personnel
Respond to actual or suspected security violations, conduct field investigations, and submit high-quality reports to Investigations for follow up
Respond to criminal activity such as thefts, vandalism, threats, etc. and provide guidance to employees regarding protective measures, or reports to law enforcement and insurance companies
Gather information and evidence and submit reports to Investigations
Maintain a working knowledge of the NISPOM, ICD705, JAFAN, and other government regulatory documents
Respond to employee queries about security issues accurately and helpfully
Properly receive, handle, safeguard, and store classified material
Be able to testify professionally in court or at in‑house or external administrative hearings
Respond to calls referencing difficult, disruptive, or threatening persons, de‑escalate such situations, and make appropriate notifications to Human Resources, Workplace Violence Team, Investigations, and law enforcement. Document such incidents in written reports
Stand by to preserve the peace when requested by Human Resources or managers when issuing disciplinary actions, terminations, or having difficult conversations
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post‑high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Experience with firearms (handgun)
Experience with contract security guard force management
Qualifications We Prefer
Demonstrated collaboration and teaming abilities; the ability to work well with others
Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge of the NISPOM, JAFAN, and ICD as applicable
Constantly maintain a professional and collegial demeanor regardless of others’ behaviors
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Trained and certified in first aid, CPR, and AED processes
Previous experience supervising employees

Salary range: $53,100 – $100,900 USD
