Prerequisites:

Current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours for the Fall or Spring semester or enrolled in a minimum of 3 hours for the Summer semester. Must have a 2.0 or higher GPA. OR Current OCCC student with a Federal Work Study award.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions General Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work; may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds (to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects).

Physical Activities:

Requires frequent movement within the Records Office and on the OCCC campus, communication with students, faculty, staff, and others for essential functions.

Visual Acuity:

Must judge, observe, and assess the accuracy and neatness of work.

Working Conditions:

Performs essential functions in an indoor office setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful completion of college credit coursework preferred.

Previous experience working in a community college environment.

Required Training (none specified)

Work Hours To be arranged but must be able to work during normal office hours 8 am – 6 pm.

Essential job functions:

Provide students direct access to their individual records, OCCC transcripts, evaluation of college and high school transcripts, and general student information. Support a system that evaluates all incoming transcripts and scans documents for immediate viewing. Produce and distribute IDs for students, faculty, and staff. Provide vehicle registration and parking decals for new and returning students. Provide referrals to other student services areas as appropriate. Answer incoming phone calls. Provide information referral. Utilize OCCC website for needed information. Assist Admissions, Records, and Graduation staff with data entry and auditing as needed.

Abide by the policies and procedures published in the Board of Regents Policies and College Policies & Procedures. Contribute to a safe educational & working environment. Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others. Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC’s established safety and health procedures and practices. Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, shelter in place drills, and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
