Location & Travel:

Jackson, MI 49201 — Minimum 3 days/week in office (typically Tue & Thu, flexible); occasional travel to field sites/substations; Michigan-based preferred, exceptions for highly qualified candidates.

Position Overview We are seeking three EPC Project Manager III professionals to support our High Voltage Distribution (HVD) programs, including line and substation projects. This role focuses on managing electric distribution projects from engineering through field execution, ensuring proper coordination across all stakeholders.

Key Areas of Responsibility

High Voltage Distribution (HVD) projects: 46 kV and 138 kV.

Line projects: pole assemblies, pole placement, line rebuilds, pole top rehabilitation, line sensors, and relocations.

Substation projects: fencing, reclosure replacement, transformer replacements, substation expansions, and related field work.

Manage project execution, including scope, schedule, cost, and quality oversight.

Collaborate with engineers, construction, permitting, environmental, and supply chain teams.

Support program-level managers in overseeing multiple sub-programs.

Key Responsibilities

Manage 125–175 projects/work orders per year per PM.

Oversee project budgets ranging from $30–$60 million per PM.

Track and report project progress using SAP, Excel, Power BI.

Conduct field visits as needed (a few times per month).

Prepare project reports and communicate project status to stakeholders and management.

Ensure alignment with project controls standards: scope, cost, schedule, and risk management.

Support team-level program management and resource planning.

Required Skills & Experience

Project Management Experience: Minimum 8–10+ years preferred; candidates with 7 years can be considered if highly qualified.

Strong project management background with hands‑on experience managing medium‑to‑large infrastructure projects.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to analyze and report data (Excel, Power BI, SAP experience preferred).

Understanding of project controls: scope, schedule, cost, risk management.

Experience with Unifier or ProjectWise is a plus, but not required.

Flexible with technical background: utility, distribution, or engineering experience is beneficial, but not mandatory. Candidates from other industries with strong PM experience may also succeed.
