About The Role
The Solutions Developer Lead is a member of the Information Technology, Glacier Solutions Development (“GSD”) team. The role reports to the GSD Development Manager and leads technical implementation of strategic projects to enhance the bank’s commercial lending services platforms, primarily the nCino system.
Collaboration with Product and Channel Managers, Solutions Architects, support teams, and technology colleagues to translate business requirements into technical deliverables, guide the development team, and mentor junior developers is central to the position. The Lead Developer evaluates team capacity, manages delivery timelines, oversees change requests, monitors vendor ticketing, and ensures software quality standards.
The position is visible across the organization, providing direct impact on internal and external customers. Candidates must have banking systems development experience, nCino knowledge, continuous improvement mindset, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Corporate position: available at division locations across AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, TX, UT, WA, or WY. Entry rate $117,159.12+ per year (calculated for Kalispell, MT).
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate enhancements to the commercial lending platform, conduct discovery and refine technical feasibility of business requirements.
Lead technical aspects: custom code, configuration, development, IT change management, security concerns, vendor communication, migration implementation/planning for GBCI and vendor teams.
Guide junior developers with code reviews, training, task assignment, and quality assurance.
Complete complex, business‑critical development tasks and teach the product domain to staff.
Provide detailed effort estimates, articulate benefits and risks, and make decisions when implementation opinions differ.
Work with product owner to incorporate technical debt into backlog, review/accept backlog items, and participate in agile ceremonies.
Serve as escalation point for junior developers and Business Application Administrators.
Stay informed on vendor product releases and acquisition enhancements.
Comply with company policies and applicable laws, complete required training courses.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience
Required: Eight+ years software development or system administration, configuration of business rules, and application workflow.
Required: Eight+ years product roadmap execution, release planning, code/configuration change oversight, risk and dependency management.
Required: Three years nCino application administration.
Required: One year supervisory or lead experience.
Required: Executive communication, regulated environment, full‑life‑cycle technology leadership.
Certifications
Required: nCino and/or Salesforce admin certification; must have certification or obtain within 6 months.
Preferred: Salesforce Advanced Administrator.
Preferred: nCino Platform Developer.
Preferred: nCino 201 and 301 Commercial Banking Configuration.
