Primary Services is excited to announce the role of
Public Affairs Manager
for a large, established client. In this role, you will lead community and internal communications efforts, develop stakeholder engagement strategies, and provide strategic counsel to business leaders on regulatory, political, and reputational matters. You will represent the company externally, manage social media content, and support employee engagement initiatives, all while contributing to high‑visibility growth projects and low‑carbon solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead community engagement and internal communications initiatives.
Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and communications plans for growth projects and major operational events.
Represent the company in external community forums and interest groups.
Manage social media content and strategy in coordination with media teams.
Activate employee engagement through volunteer programs and outreach efforts.
Monitor non‑technical risks, social performance, and opportunities to showcase environmental performance and community benefits.
Support emergency response and crisis communications, serving as Public Information Officer when needed.
Provide strategic guidance to business leaders on local and state political, regulatory, and reputational matters.
Coordinate with trade associations and third‑party advocacy campaigns in support of industry objectives.
Qualifications
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
5+ years of experience in communications, social performance, government relations, or community relations.
Experience working collaboratively with government entities preferred.
Strong writing skills and social media expertise; writing samples required.
Ability to maintain professionalism and judgment in high‑pressure and public‑facing environments.
Deep understanding of local community dynamics with established relationships among local and state officials.
Proven ability to anticipate issues and influence stakeholders across levels.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and CoPilot or equivalent AI programs.
