The Opportunity The
Part-Time Associate
reports to the Store Manager and performs management‑assigned duties such as receiving inventory, stocking and maintaining store sections, operating a cash register, providing carry‑out services, and cleaning store facilities.
Specific Duties
Maintain a store section, order, receive and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure proper pricing, check product date codes to validate rotation, stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases, prepare perishable products for sale, set up advertising displays, and review invoices/bills for accuracy.
Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed by store management.
Operate a cash register, receive payment from customers, make change or process check/charge/debit transactions, process cash and/or credit refunds when approved by management, and verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers by providing them with current store and product information, and, when requested, load customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles.
Perform basic bookkeeping duties and record lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.
