Sunstates Security is currently hiring
Flex Officers
to work accounts in the
Scottsdale
area. This position will be a cover position for all
Days/Shifts
and offer a rate of
$22.00 per hour
– with weekly pay.
3 years of customer service experience.
Excellent writing, oral, analytical, and communication skills.
Good judgment and the ability to make sound decisions.
Dependable means of transportation.
Good grooming standards.
Current guard card.
A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
Flex Officer Explanation The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The Flex Officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers while protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.
Scheduling Expectations
You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. While you may work at a specific post or location for several weeks due to need, this will not be a permanent assignment.
Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.
You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
Some of your shifts will be scheduled in advance and posted with the new week’s schedule. Sometimes you will be called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift.
You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described. If you know you will be unavailable on an upcoming date or time that would normally fall within your availability, you must communicate this with your supervisor.
For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. Refusing more than 20% of such shifts could negatively impact your employment status with the company.

High School diploma or equivalent.
Certification Requirements (All)
AZ Guard License.
