Job Summary
UW Health in northern Illinois seeks an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) to join our 32‑bed Level III NICU team in the Women's & Children's Hospital in Rockford, Illinois. Our Level III NICU is staffed 24/7 by a Neonatologist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, who are part of a multidisciplinary team of caregivers providing excellent and cost‑effective care to our smallest patients. In this autonomous position you will enjoy a collaborative practice that includes rounding to discuss and establish a plan of care; performing invasive procedures within the NNP scope of practice; attending high‑risk deliveries, transport, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education. Your clinical support includes:
Team of 6 neonatologists and 6 NNPs. Over a dozen pediatric sub‑specialists from UW Health located in this beautiful facility and available for consultation and collaboration. MFM collaboration and 24‑hour in‑house OB hospitalist. Qualifications:
Master's degree from or completion of a master's level advanced practice nurse program. Active APRN license in the State of IL and active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. Minimum 2 years' experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU. About the Greater Rockford Vector
