role to mentor and develop high school and middle school student athletes in Plain City, OH. This supplemental position supports the head coach, athletic director, and principal in fostering athletic excellence, character development, and team success. Reports To
Head Coach, Athletic Director, Principal, and/or Designee Salary
Supplemental as per negotiated agreement Position Goal
Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. Coach demonstrates behaviors that promote socially acceptable character development, self‑discipline, confidence, and pride of accomplishment. Continually upgrade knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, and consultation. Responsibilities
Assist head coach in program planning, participant lists, bus times, and parent permission. Support coaching staff at high school and middle school levels. Attend all athletic director meetings and related events. Develop and maintain sideline conduct and sportsmanship standards during games. Provide coaching support, practice scheduling, and program coordination. Qualifications
Valid Ohio driver’s license. Preferred: Ohio teaching license. Coaching and administrative abilities. Experience in related field. Valid Pupil Activity Permit (PAP) and all required Ohio Department of Education certifications. Requirements
Maintain a valid Pupil Activity Permit Validation and all required certifications on file prior to coaching.
