Position: Cashier
At Joseph’s Classic Market, our Cashiers are the final interaction customers have before leaving the store, making this role critical in providing a positive and lasting impression. In addition to delivering exceptional service, Cashiers are responsible for ensuring accurate pricing and transactions, directly impacting our store’s profitability.
Routine Tasks:
Deliver customer service that meets the Joseph’s Classic Market standard
Weigh, scan, and accurately ring up products
Accept various forms of payment and provide correct change
Handle cash, credit, and other tender types with accuracy
Bag products efficiently and safely
Keep the register area clean and organized at all times
Assist with other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age
Prior cashier or customer service experience preferred
Ability to follow written and verbal instructionsBasic math and reading skills
Strong attention to detail
Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
A passion for serving people
A Cashier’s work involves standing at a register for prolonged periods, repetitive arm and hand movements, moving and lifting product, and continuous interaction with customers and fellow employees.
