Base Pay Range $19.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Job Description The inside sales coordinator is a member of the in‑house sales team and order entry team. By representing the Spitzer brand, the coordinator works with the rep agencies assigned to them by region and ensures their agencies are being offered exceptional customer service.
Job Duties
Answer customers’ questions about prices, availability, emphasize product features referring to product literature, and provide positive courteous customer service. Sells additional products by recognizing up‑selling opportunities and explaining new features.
Enter quotes and qualified orders into the system to assure accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling tactics and marketing information, and give feedback to the marketing team to update materials.
Build detailed sales reports.
Follow up with rep agencies with a “thank email/letter” after each visit that the outside sales director attended; collaborate with the sales director on when to send samples out upon confirmation of a welcome letter sent to our customers.
Obtain resale certificate on initial account set‑up with Spitzer; gather certificates that are not on hand to maintain the rep’s account.
Obtain COI – certificate of insurance – from rep group for distributor.
Obtain distributor agreement and contracts after initial sign‑up.
Collaborate with sales, logistics, and accounting to ensure smooth order processing and fulfillment.
Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving order discrepancies, and addressing delivery timeline issues and backorders.
Follow up on samples sent to reps, inquire if products met expectations, and note any fixture problems.
Follow up on quotes, check in with reps on whether they will order, and monitor quote status.
Verify order details, including pricing, commissions, quantities, and delivery schedules, to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
2‑3+ years of inside sales or customer service experience in architectural lighting, electrical, or specification‑based industries.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional and confident phone presence.
Experience working directly with rep agencies and outside sales teams.
Ability to learn complex product lines and design applications quickly.
Familiar with ERP/CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of lighting design concepts and architectural specifications preferred.
