Topa Group is partnered with a leading Fire Protection Integrator in

Nashville . We are seeking an experienced

Fire Alarm Service Technician

to handle the testing, maintenance, and repair of life safety systems across the Middle Tennessee region. This role focuses on ensuring system integrity, providing expert troubleshooting, and delivering high-quality service to a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72 standards.

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system ground faults, shorts, and communication errors.

Execute emergency repairs and component replacements for control panels, initiating devices, and notification appliances.

Complete detailed digital service reports and inspection documentation for AHJ compliance and client records.

Coordinate with facility managers and building owners to schedule service visits and explain technical findings.

Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to emergency service requests.

Ensure all work is performed safely and adheres to local Nashville codes and project specifications.

Provide technical support and training to junior technicians or apprentices as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

3–5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Service or Lead Technician.

Strong technical background in troubleshooting addressable and conventional fire alarm systems (e.g., Notifier, Simplex, Honeywell, or EST).

NICET Level II certification in Fire Alarm Systems is highly preferred.

Proven ability to work independently in the field while maintaining a high level of organization.

Clean driving record and valid driver’s license (essential for travel throughout the Nashville metro area).

Experience using digital inspection software and basic mobile technology.

Daily travel to client sites across Nashville, Franklin, and surrounding areas.

Work includes a mix of commercial, healthcare, and industrial environments.

Preferred Skills

Strong communication and customer service abilities.

Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and security integration.

Proactive problem-solving mindset with a commitment to life safety excellence.
