POSITION SUMMARY Multiskilled individual with primary responsibility to maintain equipment proactively; identify, troubleshoot, and repair both mechanical and electrical abnormalities on all factory equipment. Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled to drive down performance losses and increase equipment reliability. Build operator technical skills and capability.

The approximate pay for this position is $39.58. The pay range is an estimate and final compensation may vary based on factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain Factory Equipment

Identify defects, execute maintenance plan, and troubleshoot equipment.

Work in various areas of the plant including process areas, primary and secondary packaging equipment, and material handling and storage equipment.

Understand power distribution systems up to 480 volts.

Control systems – basic PLC, motor, sensor, drives, and basic electrical circuits; basic understanding of device communication networks.

Mechanical systems – hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems.

Troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills to maintain, optimize, and improve production equipment, focusing on safety, quality, and cost.

Review maintenance plans and optimize to drive equipment reliability.

Review required spare parts to maximize technical warehouse service factor.

Maintain engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical).

Build Capability

Coach operator skills—adjustments and changeovers for new and improved processes, such as new centerlines, improved cleaning process, improved changeover process, and elimination of a SOC or HTRP.

Build technical procedures.

Train other technical resources as needed.

Use continuous improvement systems such as TPM and Lean.

Utilize CMMS System (AMM)

Access and utilize AMM to accurately document all maintenance activities.

Identify and create work orders.

Perform time entry and technical feedback on work performed.

Analyze data to improve the maintenance plan.

Improve or create necessary task lists.

Analyze line performance data and provide improvement support based on findings.

Maintain Factory Standards

Perform required work in line with factory systems such as SPC, QMS, Permit to Work, and other Nestle and legal requirements.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL

High school diploma or GED.

Two‑year technical degree in maintenance‑related area such as Maintenance Technical/Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, Electronics Technology, or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE

1 to 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; food industry experience preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Strong mechanical skills (hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems, and principles of operation).

Welding, fabrication, and machining skills.

Electrical skills (NEC, AC & DC circuits, 480V power distribution, industrial wiring).

Basic electrical circuits knowledge.

Basic PLC / hard‑wire logic circuits knowledge.

Knowledge and use of test equipment (amp meter, megger, etc.).

Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors.

Read and interpret machine, electrical and facility drawings.

Familiar with CMMS and production workflow/control systems.

Ability to be self‑managed, performing work unsupervised, and re‑prioritizing as necessary.

Must demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.

Good communication skills with operators, other technicians, and resources.

Ability to analyze data and make decisions/recommendations based on analysis.

Ability to integrate into all parts of the operation to support the facility in achieving goals and objectives.

Able to work in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability are expected.

Able to work off‑shifts, weekends, and extended shifts (10 hrs., 12 hrs.).

May require internal and external certification such as sanitary welding, vibration, thermography, etc.

Understand how automated equipment and its components work.

Remain proficient with the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial electrical control systems, electromechanical systems, instrumentation, and fluid power.

Properly use mechanical and electrical tools and diagnostic instruments.

Understand the operating principles and function of the electrical control and power components and circuits utilized in automated equipment.

Operate, troubleshoot, and diagnose industrial circuits used in control and distribution.

Obtain and maintain certifications required by Nestle policies (e.g., Arch Flash, LOTO, PTWs, etc.).
