Job Summary This position processes customer transactions for routine to complex financial transactions including check cashing, account withdrawals and deposits. Responsible for balancing cash drawers, assisting customers with product line information, and providing a quality customer experience. Identifies and refers sales opportunities to appropriate bank personnel to meet individual and department goals and support the organization’s goals & values. Consistently gains confidence and trust through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain customer relationships, including preparing for interactions, building rapport, and documenting questions to understand financial goals.

Match customer needs to Seacoast Bank products and services, confidently explaining them.

Ask for referrals from new and existing customers.

Respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service.

Seek appropriate people for complex matters.

Balance business needs with customer requests while managing risk to the bank.

Embrace new technology and stay updated on industry changes.

Participate in community, charitable or civic events.

Collaborate with other associates within and across the branch.

Develop introductory understanding of consumer deposit and lending products.

Develop proficiencies in outbound calling and referral opportunities.

Observe presentations on banking products/services.

Understand customer‑facing technology and enroll customers in self‑service products.

Process checks, cash and negotiable instrument transactions per bank policies.

Ensure branch adherence to AML/BSA requirements, audit procedures, operational procedures, dual control, security, business continuity, and other regulated banking requirements.

Assist in remediating audit, scorecard, QC deficiencies.

Resolve customer concerns in a timely, professional manner; escalating as necessary.

Balance cash drawer daily and monitor accuracy.

Follow management direction for complex customer objections and problem resolution.

Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and safety/security procedures.

May be assigned vault responsibilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 6 months cash handling experience.

Preferred 6 months experience in retail sales and/or financial services.

Flexible schedule; able to work during hours of operations, including weekends and occasional non‑bank operational hours.

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Can work independently and exercises high initiative.

PC proficiency on desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone devices, and Microsoft Office Suite.
