LTE Maintenance Mechanic – Airport Apply for the LTE Maintenance Mechanic – Airport role at County of Brown.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled maintenance work in the preventative maintenance, alteration, repair, and cleaning of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Perform carpentry and minor masonry work, including building forms, pouring, and finishing concrete flat work.

Perform minor AC electrical and plumbing repairs.

Maintain and perform minor and major repairs on small engines.

Operate and maintain industrial ground equipment such as large snowplows, snow blowers, lawnmowers, power broom, front loader, and heavy trucks.

Empty and transport garbage to designated areas; unload freight.

Operate firefighting equipment as needed.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical specifications, as well as schematics for hydraulic repairs.

Paint or assist in painting of airfield (runways, taxiways, etc.) in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations.

Prepare and maintain required reports and forms.

Assist in budget preparation for maintenance operations and create specification sheets for new acquisitions.

Perform pavement repair and maintenance using multiple products.

Participate in snow removal operations as directed, responding on a twenty‑four‑hour basis to the needs of the airport.

Diagnose and repair automotive DC circuits; repair and install mobile radio systems.

Maintain automated building systems, including geothermal systems.

Perform duties related to regulated trash in accordance with U.S. Customs and Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).

Perform complete paint and body repairs on vehicles and large equipment with modern paint systems.

Qualifications

Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used for the preventative maintenance, alteration, repair, and cleaning of buildings and facilities.

Knowledge of standard practices in one or more trades.

Ability to use and care for all tools and equipment related to the job.

Ability to read, interpret, and utilize blueprints and other technical specifications.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administration, staff, tenants, and the public.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to operate heavy equipment such as front loader and heavy snow plows.

Ability to work the required hours of the position.

Ability to successfully complete an FBI background check/security threat analysis and maintain unescorted access to the SIDA.
