Summary Performs daily quality activities as needed in any area of the slaughter facility. Interacts, as needed, cross-functions with analytical services, production, further processing, maintenance and USDA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs testing when needed and monitors and verifies use of approved procedures (HACCP, SSOP, Customers or other regulatory procedures).
Creates and maintains records in a manner that meets regulatory requirements.
Reports all important events to Quality Supervisor in a timely manner.
Reports activities, as needed, to production and maintenance personnel.
Responsible for any and all directives brought forth by Quality Management.
Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
highway Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos written in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to solve mathematical equations involving ruler readings, percentages, averages, rounding, and conversion of grams, pounds and ounces.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in тому, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities Must be able to pass the Quality Control math test.
Other Qualifications ~simple This position requires an ability to make good decisions regarding food safety and other quality issues on a day‑to‑day basis. A good understanding of food microbiology and chemistry as it relates to food processing is required. Suggest 1 to amp; 3 years' experience in in‑plant quality activities.
