Minimum of 2 years in Maintenance of Traffic / Temporary Traffic Control or related industry (Road Construction, Highway Maintenance, Construction)

One year of experience

Valid driver’s license

Able to communicate clearly both written and verbally

Job Description The Maintenance of Traffic Laborer is required to perform temporary traffic control operations to maintain traffic on a roadway construction project in a manner that protects and conveys the public efficiently within a specified work zone. Certain duties will be under the supervision of an Advanced Maintenance of Traffic Laborer. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, company policies and procedures and safety guidelines.

Set‑up and maintain traffic control devices, installation and service work‑zone signs, and lights

Set up and maintain assigned Maintenance of Traffic activity including and detours and lane closures

Coordinate services with the on‑site client representative or officials

Load and unload equipment into and out of company trucks

Deliver / Pick‑up equipment from customer jobsites

Coordinate activities of traffic control laborers to ensure compliance with MOT guidelines

Make recommendations on existing conditions to coordinate procedures for traffic maintenance activities

Complete daily paperwork and reports as required by supervisor

If an approved driver, may operate a company vehicle and maintain company standards with Motor Vehicle Record

Days and Hours Full Time position; hours will vary. Working a flexible schedule which can include day or night shifts, weekends and/or holidays, adjusting to a changing work schedule, working overtime and working individually and as a team with other employees.
