This is a long term role- will start as 6‑mo contract with the potential to extend for the right fit.

***Coordinator will be driving a Fleet vehicle & will be local (St. Louis) between client’s sites.

Business Coordinator is responsible for managing and streamlining various operational and administrative functions within our organization. They act as a bridge between teams/departments, ensuring effective communication, timely project execution, and smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of the procurement life cycle, managing each stage from the initial request through to the final closure of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely fulfillment of all procurement activities.

Proactively communicate procurement timelines to project leads, ensuring transparency and alignment with project schedules. Cultivate strong relationships through effective dialogue, facilitating collaboration and timely decision‑making to drive project success.

Establish yourself as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for expense management in Concur, overseeing credit card processes and ensuring compliance with organizational policies while providing guidance and support to team members on expense reporting and reconciliation.

Independently manage small projects from initiation to completion, demonstrating effective planning, execution, and delivery without the need for oversight, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.

Lead project closure activities by ensuring all documentation is thoroughly completed and procurement activities are finalized and sent for approval.

Serve as a reliable backup for colleagues, ensuring seamless continuity of operations and providing essential support during absences or peak demand periods, thereby maintaining project momentum and team effectiveness.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.

Track projects against finance budgets & provide decision support.

Maintain accurate records and databases.

Implement process improvements and standard operating procedures.

Ensure adherence to corporate standards.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in engineering technology, business administration, project management, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Previous experience in project administration, procurement, or a related role is advantageous.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Power Tools), Finance systems (SAP) and ability to learn in‑house software (Time Tracker, Manage, SmartBuy, FrontDoor).

Strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
