Our Buffalo, New York flagship facility is powered by our proven and growing Surestone extrusion technology. As our newest and most advanced operation, we are building a high-performance team to support startup through full production scale.
Job Summary The Production Supervisor – Day Shift is responsible for leading a team of operators and production staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing. This role drives daily execution on the production floor, while developing employees, optimizing workflow, and maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement. As a startup facility, this leader will help establish operating standards and shape culture from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily production operations to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and output goals
Build, train, and coach a strong production team; foster accountability and problem-solving
Prioritize schedule execution and ensure on-time product delivery
Drive compliance with plant safety programs and participate in Safety Committee activities
Maintain accurate ERP entries for inventory, downtime, and production reporting
Monitor scrap, yield, and efficiency metrics; identify and implement improvements
Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality to minimize downtime and ensure specification compliance
Maintain clean work environments through 5S practices
Support startup and commissioning activities as production scales
Qualifications
3+ years of production experience in manufacturing; extrusion or plastics preferred
Experience leading or supervising production teams required
Strong understanding of safety practices and standard work
ERP or manufacturing systems experience preferred
Excellent communication and coaching skills
Flexible and willing to support evolving startup needs
Ability to work 12-hour shifts as assigned
Compensation & Benefit Information Salary Pay Range:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour dependent on experience*
Bonus/Incentive Pay:
A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
