Schwab Retirement Plan Services provides third‑party record‑keeping and retirement plan administration to midsized and large employers nationwide. Schwab is committed to the financial fitness of all participants and clients and assists plan sponsors to ensure that the plans are operated in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA.

NOTE: This position will have a start date of April 6th, 2026.

Responsibilities

Form 5500 and Form 8955‑SSA within the statutory timelines established by the code.

Function as a primary liaison with ERISA Consulting, external clients and Relationship Managers for more complex ERISA Compliance testing issues.

Preparing Defined Benefit 5500s and 8955‑SSAs and experience working with complex pension benefit calculations, leading large change‑management initiatives.

Partner with Relationship Management and actuarial teams to assist with higher‑level client issues and external auditor requests.

Serve as direct contact with plan sponsors and their external auditors to add value and retain clients.

Lead efforts to improve, develop, implement training programs and procedures.

Serve as a resource for less experienced staff and complete peer review of assigned work.

Take on additional project leadership responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

4-7 years in the qualified retirement plan industry, with significant direct experience in providing ERISA Compliance testing and reporting services.

Thorough knowledge of the IRS & DOL Code and Regulations, including experience with pension plans.

Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, high comfort level with Microsoft Excel, and the ability to meet stringent deadlines.

Project leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a focus on Actuarial Mathematics.

ASPPA QKA, QPA or CPC designation.

Experience with Actuarial Systems Corporation (ASC) Testing / 5500 software.
