Corporate Development & Investor Relations Associate (Oil & Gas) Location:

Houston, Texas

The Corporate Development & Investor Relations Associate will support the company’s corporate development and investor relations initiatives while also contributing to financial analysis, planning, and forecasting activities. This role works closely with senior leadership to evaluate strategic opportunities, support capital markets communications, and provide analytical insights to guide decision‑making across the organization.

The position offers exposure to M&A, public market engagement, strategic planning, and executive‑level reporting in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities Investor Relations & Capital Markets

Support execution of the company’s investor relations strategy, including public market positioning and shareholder engagement

Develop and maintain relationships with sell‑side analysts, investors, and external stakeholders

Assist in preparation of investor presentations, earnings materials, press releases, and Board‑level reporting

Monitor regulatory and compliance requirements related to financial reporting and investor communications

Support corporate development initiatives, including M&A and strategic transactions, with a focus on deal sourcing, valuation analysis, and integration execution

Assist with transaction due diligence, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors

Analyze macroeconomic, capital markets, and industry trends to support strategic planning and investment decisions

Financial Analysis & Planning

Collaborate with FP&A to develop financial projections, forecasts, and key performance indicators for executive management and investor communications

Manage and maintain the corporate financial model in partnership with business units and executive leadership

Analyze financial performance metrics including profitability, return on capital, liquidity, and capital allocation efficiency

Provide ad hoc financial and strategic analysis to support executive leadership initiatives

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, banking, or related financial services

Commercial or investment banking, corporate development, or investor relations experience preferred

Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, capital planning, and regulatory reporting

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data platforms (e.g., FactSet, Capital IQ, Bloomberg)

Strong PowerPoint skills with experience creating executive‑and investor‑level presentations

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

Effective communicator with experience engaging executive management, investors, and cross‑functional teams

Understanding of capital markets, risk management, and compliance frameworks

High attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills, and a collaborative mindset
