JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will work directly with our Project Managers to assist in the planning and oversight of our projects. In this position, you will coordinate compliance efforts with local governing authorities, develop and maintain project labor plans, and produce and update project drawings. The APM serves as the quarterback for the site work and is the main point of contact with the client during the construction phase.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinating labor with superintendents and clients is a key function.

Managing subcontractors (HVAC Controls, Insulation, Test & Balance, sheet metal construction & ductwork).

Working directly with Operations teams in the planning and execution of projects.

Holding site safety meetings, following established safety rules and regulations, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Onsite management of all subcontractors and third‑party labor.

Assisting in the coordination of purchasing and labor needs for projects.

Keeping a daily activity log and reporting site data to the Project Manager.

Managing logistics and communication with customers, local government, and utilities.

Assisting in the creation and updating of project drawings.

Interacting with clients and providing exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations.

Working with a smart, exciting group to help customers save money and go green.

Additional duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.

Minimum 3 years of experience in increasingly responsible construction management positions with emphasized employee‑management skills.

Fully bilingual (Spanish/English) is required.

Experience with installation and maintenance of industrial utilities such as chillers, air‑handling units, BAS systems, cooling towers, process and water pumps, plumbing and piping construction/installations, and proven project accounting management.

Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment.

Familiarity with blueprints.
