Digital Project Manager – Web Location: Mettawa, IL

Pay Rate: $34–$38/hour (based on health benefits selection)

Assignment Length: Through January 25, 2027

Schedule: M‑F 8am-5pm, M & F remote, Tues‑Thurs onsite

Role Overview Orion Group is hiring a Digital Project Manager (Web) who is a key contributor within the Web Channels team of our pharmaceutical clients US Commercial Digital Lab. This role supports a fast‑paced, agency‑like environment delivering a wide range of digital initiatives, including enterprise websites, emails, banners, and applications.

The Digital Project Manager will manage a portfolio of web projects on the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform and partner closely with internal cross‑functional teams and external agency partners. This role requires strong project management discipline, technical understanding of web development, and comfort operating in a highly matrixed, client‑facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain full visibility into all active web projects within the assigned therapeutic area and proactively drive progress in partnership with Web Specialists

Collaborate cross‑functionally with strategy, creative, authoring, web specialists, technology, and QA teams to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery

Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and challenges; document issues and recommend process‑based solutions

Understand the AEM authoring environment and AbbVie’s publishing process to support optimal delivery strategies

Support Web Specialists with Veeva submission activities, tracking project status while in Veeva review

Lead and facilitate status meetings, ensuring alignment, risk awareness, and visibility across related initiatives

Support project estimation efforts for defined categories of work, coordinating with appropriate technical teams as needed

Track and manage project timelines, scope, and deliverables using approved project management tools

Required & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Strong foundation in project management best practices

3+ years of experience supporting enterprise web projects, including site migrations and online production

Hands‑on experience with AEM or similar web content management systems

Solid understanding of responsive web development, including websites, emails, banners, and tablet/mobile applications

Knowledge of web UX standards, accessibility, and SEO best practices

General familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

Experience using project tracking tools such as Workfront, Jira/Confluence, Smartsheet, or Trello

Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

Exposure to Agile development methodologies preferred

Experience in pharmaceuticals or another highly regulated industry preferred

Experience with Veeva and Workfront is a strong plus

Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours

Hybrid Model: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote Monday and Friday
