Full‑Time Weekday Kidtown/Child Care Associate
Midtown Athletic Clubs invites application for the Full‑Time Weekday Kidtown/Child Care Associate position. The role involves caring for children from 8 weeks to 15 years old during Monday‑Friday shifts (9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Pay is $16.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
Provide a safe, movement‑based environment that encourages active, social, and healthy play.
Lead age‑appropriate activities such as arts & crafts, story time, and games.
Communicate child progress and behavior to parents on pick‑up.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with families.
Keep the childcare area clean, germ‑free, and organized.
Collaborate with leadership to continually improve KidTown and the surrounding space.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience working with children in a supportive educational setting.
Comfortable working with ages 8 weeks up to 15 years.
Strong initiative, confidence, and leadership in caring for youth.
Excellent verbal communication skills with children and adults.
Patience, friendliness, and a high‑energy approach to activity facilitation.
Willingness to grow with evolving member and space needs.
Positive attitude and enjoyment of working with children.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required (training provided by Midtown).
