Main Responsibilities
Operational & Leadership Support – Assist the Venue Operations Director in planning and execution of venue operational plans.
Primary point of contact for immediate on‑ground operational issues.
Act as Acting Venue Operations Director in the director’s absence.
Share responsibilities with the VOD by taking ownership of designated areas.
Competition & Match‑Day Delivery – Oversee and coordinate stadium operations on match days, ensuring alignment of functional areas (Security, Access Management, Transport, Medical, Media, Hospitality, Broadcast, Catering, Fan Experience).
Manage Operational Center (SOC) log on WeTrack, monitor incidents and updates.
Support pre‑match readiness checks, stadium walk‑throughs and venue readiness reporting.
Coordinate arrivals, officials’ logistics, and V/VIP movements in compliance with competition requirements.
Oversee spectator and client group flows from transport hubs to seating.
Ensure readiness of stadium areas (e.g., dressing rooms, BOH, offices, overlay commodities).
Functional Area Coordination – Follow up on outstanding operational points, liaison between functional leads, proactively identify risks.
Team & Workforce Management – Organize daily run sheets, supervise staff/volunteers/contractors, provide training and briefings, foster a collaborative culture.
Administrative & Communication Support – Manage administrative tasks, prepare meeting agendas, maintain contact lists, handle booking logistics, manage MS Teams channel.
Readiness & Reporting – Support readiness exercises, compile and submit operational reports, document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Profile – Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in sports event management, business administration or equivalent.
Work Experience
Minimum 3–5 years in event management, venue/stadium environment.
Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders.
Strong project management and organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under pressure.
Team player with customer‑service focus and flexibility.
Experience with radio communication (hand held radios) in an event environment.
Experience in planning major sports events, FIFA World Cup or similar – asset.
Languages
Fluent in English; Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus.
Technology
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software, online collaboration tools.
