The Country Club of New Canaan is seeking a Retail Manager to lead its newly club-owned Golf Shop.
Founded in 1893, CCNC is a financially strong, member‑owned private club serving 600+ engaged families in Fairfield County. The Club features an 18‑hole Willie Park Jr. golf course, a modern clubhouse completed in 2020, and a vibrant year‑round sports and social culture.
This role reports directly to the General Manager/COO and oversees a $600K+ retail operation. The Retail Manager sets the standard for merchandising, service, and financial performance following the Club’s recent transition to full ownership of the golf retail operation.
Role Highlights
Lead all Golf Shop operations, buying, merchandising, and inventory control
Drive sales, margin, and inventory performance
Partner closely with golf, racquets, finance, and club leadership
Ideal Background
5+ years of golf or specialty retail management experience
Proven success overseeing $500K+ in annual retail sales
Strong merchandising, financial, and leadership skills
Private club or luxury retail experience preferred
