Overview Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) position at Cranberry Advanced Dental Care in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania . We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated EFDA Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. Responsibilities Work in compliance with all healthcare policies and standards (ex: OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and funding body regulations). Sterilize all instruments and disinfect equipment according to clinic and manufacturer’s guidelines. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection prevention and exposure control policies and procedures. Ensure operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; requesting repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; learning new equipment and techniques. Pour and trim study casts; clean and polish removable appliances; fabricate and polish temporary restorations; fabricate bite blocks, custom trays, bleaching trays, and occlusal guards. Qualifications Dental Assistant experience preferred. Certification required. Knowledge of chairside assisting and sterilization protocols. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and organization. Ability to work efficiently in a dental office. Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
