About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Foundation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Foundation in strategic fundraising, donor relations, and community engagement to ensure sustainable financial support for the college and its programs. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies, leading targeted campaigns, and cultivating relationships with major donors. The Executive Director will also provide strategic leadership, collaborate with the college's President and Cabinet, and oversee the Foundation's operations, including financial stewardship and ethical compliance.
Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for an advanced degree, and a minimum of 5 years' professional experience in nonprofit operations, board management, fundraising, and donor relations. The role requires advanced knowledge of fundraising principles, nonprofit governance, and financial management, as well as strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading and managing teams, be adept at strategic planning, and have the ability to represent the Foundation and the college with credibility and enthusiasm. Experience in an educational or community college setting and with volunteer or elected boards of directors is also desirable.
