Title: Field Service Technician
Rate: $19.28/hr

(Offsite) – Position may also support service work in North Broward County
Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 5:00PM EST; weekend or evening on-call availability may be required
Note: This is a W2 contract position – C2C, 1099, and 3 rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered
The Field Service Technician will assist in running service calls to retail stores in the Palm Beach County, FL area, providing excellent customer service while installing, diagnosing, and resolving retail equipment failures within Service Level Agreements. Equipment includes POS (Point of Sale) registers, self-checkout registers, thermal printers, laser printers, scanners, PCs, thin clients, phone systems, RF, networking equipment, cabling, as well as pharmacy, photo, minute clinic, and other related computer peripherals. This Field Service Technician position involves driving between locations in an established geographic area to service and install hardware, including assisting other neighboring areas with workload, as needed, while working a normal day shift.
Field Service Technicians must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to drive themselves between several locations on a daily basis; drive times may be several hours in each direction. The Field Service Technician will be reimbursed for miles driven on their weekly expense report at 72¢ per mile driven. The Field Service Technician will work 40 hours per week, and their shift may include weekends or holidays, as required.
Job Duties:
· Service and install computer equipment by analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving problems while providing excellent customer service and meeting service level commitments · Adhere to all compliance processes and procedures · Self-manage workload, overtime, inventory, and all administrative functions · Maintain up to date knowledge of all technology, processes, policies, and procedures
Job Qualifications:
· 1-3 years of hands-on technical knowledge and experience, along with strong customer service skills · Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and deploy computer hardware and peripherals, POS systems, networking, and printer equipment, including lifting and moving laser printers, servers, and other heavy equipment up to 30lbs, and 80lbs with assistance, and occasionally working on a ladder · A valid Driver’s License, with no major violations, and a reliable, personal vehicle to drive between work sites · Strong attentional to detail and ability to multitask · Administrative computer skills, including MS Word and Excel, preferred · A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required; higher education or relevant IT Certifications (CompTIA A+ or Network+) preferred
This job requires driving your personal vehicle between work sites; a MVR background check will be conducted upon extension of a job offer
