Senior Electrical Engineer Location: Graniteville, SC (Onsite) Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support electrical and industrial automation systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading electrical engineering activities, managing capital projects, and supporting machine installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives at a plant located in Graniteville, SC. Key Responsibilities Act as the electrical engineering subject matter expert for assigned plant areas Lead continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action projects Manage capital projects ranging from $50K to $1M, including new equipment installations and upgrades Provide technical support to manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering teams Analyze project requirements, engineering challenges, and safety considerations to deliver solutions on time and within budget Coordinate and oversee internal resources, automation vendors, and external contractors Ensure compliance with all safety standards, legal requirements, and company policies Engineering Responsibilities Design and finalize electrical systems per project scope and safety requirements Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and spare parts documentation Create and maintain engineering drawings using Autodesk tools Perform equipment risk assessments and implement safety countermeasures Design, program, and support control systems including: Allen Bradley PLCs Remote I/O systems HMIs VFDs and servo drives Industrial control networks Specify and procure electrical hardware and services Support FAT, I/O checkout, machine startup, and commissioning Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and Rockwell Automation software Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming skills Experience with industrial Ethernet communication and machine network layouts Knowledge of equipment safety standards, hardware design, and NFPA 70E / arc flash requirements Ability to manage capital and expense budgets Strong work ethic and self-starter attitude Preferred Qualifications Experience managing automation vendors and contractors Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Experience designing and overseeing electrical control systems Knowledge of production and maintenance processes
