About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel with a focus on Aviation Regulatory and FAA matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and counsel to ensure compliance with U.S. Federal Aviation Regulations and similar non-U.S. regulations. This role involves a global focus, with an emphasis on FAA design, production, and maintenance rules, as well as supporting international divisions and affiliates. The Senior Counsel will work closely with various teams, including the Product Safety & Quality Team, the Regulatory Strategy team, and the Airworthiness & Certification Office, to maintain the company's excellent record of product safety in the aerospace industry and ensure aviation regulatory compliance.
Applicants must have a Juris Doctor from an accredited university and at least 6 years of legal experience, with a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and the FAA. The role requires the ability to provide legal advice on a wide range of aviation regulatory matters, including Type Certificates, design approvals, and maintenance regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and a proven track record of problem-solving and project management. Responsibilities also include supporting the Compliance organization in internal investigations and advising on aviation bilateral agreements, as well as issues related to acquisitions, divestitures, and sanctions impacts.
