A healthcare role is available for a skilled Cath Lab Technologist I specializing in cardiac catheterization procedures at a medical center located in Marksville, LA. This contract position offers day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a start date as soon as possible. The position involves working with a diverse cardiac patient population, including cases involving cardiac caths, peripherals, TAVR, and device implantation. Responsibilities: Prepare and operate essential catheterization lab equipment, including fluoroscopy imaging and digital image acquisition. Ensure accurate documentation of patient data and hemodynamic measurements. Maintain strict aseptic technique and patient safety protocols throughout procedures. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and team leads to optimize patient care and workflow. Serve as the radiation safety representative during X-ray use. Participate in equipment checks, supply stocking, and patient transport as needed. Support quality control measures and adhere to organizational policies on safety, infection control, and patient privacy. Continuously develop proficiency in specialized cath lab technologies such as intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), intracardiac echo (ICE), contrast injectors, and mechanical support devices. Qualifications: Current Louisiana State Board of Radiology Technologist License. ARRT National Radiologic Technologist Certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Graduation from an accredited radiology technology program; bachelors degree preferred. 0-1 year of acute care experience preferred. Ability to work every third or fourth weekend and participate in on-call rotations collaboratively.
