Two Special Education Teacher positions are available for a full-semester contract located in Ypsilanti, MI. These full-time roles require supporting elementary school students with diverse learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Cognitive Impairments (CI), across various grade levels. Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to students in ASD and CI classrooms. Manage classrooms for 2nd/3rd grade and 4th/5th grade elementary students. Collaborate with school staff, families, and support personnel to create individualized education plans (IEPs). Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Maintain accurate records and comply with state and district special education requirements. Qualifications: Valid and active Michigan Special Education teaching license. Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in ASD and CI settings. Strong classroom management skills. Ability to design and implement tailored instructional strategies. Effective communication skills for working collaboratively within a school environment.
