A Staff Pharmacist position is available with a medical center system serving multiple locations in Ventura County, California. This contract role, lasting approximately 3 to 6 months with potential for temp-to-hire, offers two distinct work options based on your expertise and interests: Option 1: Floating between three pharmacy sites within the system, including the main medical center, a hospital, and an infusion center pharmacy. Option 2: Focusing exclusively on the infusion center pharmacy with an emphasis on oncology medications. The position requires full-time availability, with shifts varying between 8 and 10 hours depending on the location. Expect a mix of swing shifts, every other weekend, and holiday coverage to support continuous pharmacy operations. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Licensed Pharmacist with active credentials Experience with Cerner electronic health records preferred; training is available PGY1 residency completion highly desired Oncology and chemotherapy pharmacy experience is a significant plus Local candidates are preferred; however, candidates willing to travel may be considered Location: Ventura County, California (Camarillo area) Flexible travel may be required if a local candidate is not found Responsibilities: Dispense medications safely and accurately in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines Provide clinical pharmacy services and counsel patients regarding their treatment regimens Collaborate closely with healthcare teams, especially within oncology services, to optimize patient care Manage pharmacy operations efficiently across assigned sites as applicable This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment while expanding your clinical experience, especially in oncology.
