A full-time, contract position is available for an experienced Audiologist to provide specialized services within a K-12 school setting in the Virginia Beach area. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish and develop the district's audiology program, which was formerly managed by an external clinic. As the district resumes in-house audiology services, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding this initiative. Responsibilities include: Conducting hearing exams and evaluations for students across the K-12 spectrum Traveling between assigned schools to deliver itinerant audiology services Collaborating with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support student hearing health Developing and implementing individualized hearing programs and interventions Maintaining accurate records and compliance with district policies and state regulations Qualifications: Doctoral degree (PhD) in Audiology required Active Audiologist License in good standing Willingness to travel to multiple school locations as part of an itinerant role Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to develop and manage a new audiology program within the school district Position Details: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Contract position through the current school year (January 5, 2026 June 16, 2026) Location: Schools in the Virginia Beach area, with travel between sites as needed This contract role is not eligible for hybrid or remote work options and requires on-site presence at various schools.
