A part-time opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support an elementary school caseload located in Long Beach, CA. This contract position offers approximately 20-25 hours per week and involves working directly with young students to enhance their occupational therapy goals and support their educational progress. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students Collaborate with educators and school staff to implement therapy plans aligned with student needs Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school policies Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of student IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) Utilize therapeutic techniques that promote student engagement and skill development Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred Bilingual skills are highly desirable to better serve the student population Strong communication and collaboration abilities Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive educational environment Benefits: Part-time schedule accommodating work-life balance Opportunity to make a positive impact on children's educational and developmental progress Contract position with a supportive school community This position is ideal for professionals passionate about pediatric occupational therapy and looking to work in a school setting.
