This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher serving K-12 students in a public school setting located in Hartsville, SC. The position offers a contract through the current school year with a focus on supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities through self-contained classrooms. Two positions are available: Position 1: Full-time role at the middle school level, teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students Self-contained classroom environment Supporting mild to moderate special education needs Duration from now through end of school year Position 2: Long-term substitute covering medical leave of regular teacher Elementary grades 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Self-contained classroom setting Approximately 7-10 students in the class Qualifications and desired experience: Certification in Special Education preferred Experience teaching in self-contained special education classrooms Ability to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) effectively Strong classroom management and communication skills Flexibility and patience to provide personalized instruction to diverse learners Responsibilities include designing and delivering individualized instruction, collaborating with school staff and families, monitoring student progress, and maintaining a positive learning environment tailored to each student's needs.
