This position seeks a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide specialized support to students in a K-6 educational setting. The role requires working onsite, supporting one campus in an itinerant capacity. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Texas Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) teaching license and have experience in Texas school environments. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of students from Pre-K through 6th grade with hearing impairments. Perform comprehensive evaluations and interpret audiograms to tailor educational plans. Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to collaborate with educational teams. Deliver direct instruction and support, adapting materials and approaches to meet students individual needs. Work 21-35 hours per week, with a schedule of 3 to 5 days (7-hour days) onsite. Qualifications: Valid Texas D/HH Teaching License strongly required. Experience supporting deaf and hard of hearing students in a school setting, preferably within Texas. Ability to effectively interpret audiological data and integrate findings into student programming. Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, school staff, and related service providers. Flexibility to manage itinerant responsibilities across one campus. Location and Duration: Position is located in Mansfield, Texas. Contract runs from January 5, 2026, through May 21, 2026, covering the school year period.
