An opportunity is available for an experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students in multiple school districts on an itinerant basis. This contract position is based in the Northwest/City Center Houston area and requires full-time availability, with part-time considered. The assignment runs through May 26, 2026, with an immediate start date. Responsibilities include: Delivering specialized instruction and services to visually impaired students across various schools Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Conducting assessments and adapting curriculum to meet student needs Providing orientation and mobility training as necessary Maintaining detailed documentation and progress reports Qualifications: Valid Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification for the state of Texas is required Experience working with K-12 visually impaired students Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple school districts Strong communication and collaboration skills Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with some part-time possibilities Location: Based in Houston, TX, servicing multiple districts in an itinerant role This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students educational journeys while working in a dynamic, supportive environment. xsgimln Interested professionals are encouraged to apply promptly to ensure consideration for this role.
