This opportunity seeks certified General Education Math teachers for high school roles within Jefferson Parish, New Orleans, LA. The positions require full-time commitment, Monday through Friday, aligning with the school calendar, and offer a contract duration through the 2025-2026 school year. Location: New Orleans, LA (Jefferson Parish) Employment Type: Contract | Full-Time | 35 hours/week (7 hours/day plus 30-minute unpaid lunch) Start/End Dates: ASAP May 22, 2026 Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive math instruction to high school students in general education settings Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards Assess student progress and provide feedback to support academic growth Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to maintain a positive learning environment Qualifications: Active Louisiana Department of Education certification in General Education Math (No Temporary Authorization to Teach accepted) Proven experience teaching math at the high school level preferred Strong communication and classroom management skills Ready to engage immediately without pending licensing procedures Additional Details: Number of positions available: 10 Exact school assignments and caseloads to be determined Candidates who hold current Louisiana DOE certification and are prepared to begin working promptly are highly encouraged to apply.
