This position is for a Special Education Teacher working with a K-2 Autism caseload within an elementary school setting in Youngsville, NC. The role spans from January 5, 2026, to June 11, 2026, during the 25/26 school year term. This contract position requires onsite presence Monday through Friday, with 4 to 6 hours of work daily. Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of 7-8 students, primarily grades 1 and 2, with moderate to severe autism. Collaborate with one teacher and two teaching assistants to deliver tailored educational support. Support a group consisting of both verbal and nonverbal students, most of whom are potty trained. Utilize teaching strategies suited for young learners with special needs, fostering their development in a supportive environment. Qualifications: Possession of an Early Childhood (EC) Birth to Kindergarten license is required. Experience working confidently with autistic children in elementary settings. Ability to engage with a mixed group of verbal and nonverbal students effectively. Strong teamwork skills to coordinate with teaching staff and assistive personnel. Location: Onsite work required at an elementary school in Youngsville, North Carolina. Benefits and Perks: A sign-on bonus of $1,500 is provided, with half paid after 60 days and the remainder at the conclusion of the assignment.
