This full-time position is ideal for licensed Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) eager to provide specialized instruction to K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Metairie, LA. The contract runs through the current school year, with a start date as soon as possible and continuing through May 22, 2026. Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized educational strategies tailored to visually impaired students across the K-12 spectrum. Collaborate with school staff and families to design and implement effective learning plans. Monitor student progress, adapting approaches to meet diverse needs and promoting independence. Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state educational requirements. Qualifications: Active Louisiana Department of Education certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) is required. Demonstrated experience working with visually impaired students preferred. Ability to work full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the school calendar. Candidates must be ready to work immediately; licensing processes in progress are not accepted. Location and Schedule: Position is based in Metairie, Louisiana.
