Cancer Center pharmacy setting

Ventura, California . This opportunity offers
full-time, weekday day shifts

temp-to-hire potential
for the right candidate. The role focuses primarily on the verification and oversight of
chemotherapy and oncology medications
in a supportive clinical environment. This position is well-suited for pharmacists who are comfortable working with chemo/onc agents and are looking to build or continue a career in oncology-focused practice. Position Overview The Oncology Pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and supporting the safe use of chemotherapy and oncology-related medications. Youll collaborate closely with the cancer care team to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely medication therapy for patients receiving oncology treatment. Schedule Full-time hours

Assignment Length Approximately 36 months
Strong potential for temp-to-hire based on performance
Key Responsibilities Verify and check chemotherapy and oncology medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
Ensure safe handling and use of hazardous and oncology medications
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the oncology care team
Support medication safety, clinical review, and workflow efficiency
Utilize pharmacy systems to document and process medication orders
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist License
PGY-1 residency training
Oncology or chemotherapy-related pharmacy experience
Comfort reviewing and verifying chemotherapy/oncology medications xsgimln Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
Preferred (Now Required to Ensure Strong Fit) Experience with Cerner (training available if needed)
