Operates the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department.Performs CAT Scan procedures following protocols established by the Radiologist Adheres to all Infection Prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.Stays current and participates departmental training offered.Participates in Departmental On Call and Holiday Requirements. through polite communication with all co- workers/customers.Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external.Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport).Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention requirements.Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and deficiencies. Experience with Pediatrics and Cardiac preferred but not necessaryEducation RequirementsGraduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist Program. Must be enrolled in a qualified Computed Tomography programLicense/Certification RequirementsCurrent BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists). Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist).ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography preferred.
